The Bavarian Exhibition 2026/27 is committed to sustainability goals in order to minimize its ecological footprint.
This will be achieved through the following measures, among others:
- Reuse of existing building elements from previous exhibitions, for example, the partition wall system from previous HdBG exhibitions will be used
- Use of existing display cases
- Mandatory consideration of modular construction for new exhibition elements to ensure sensible reuse and recycling
- Extensive use of upcyclable and recyclable building materials
- Taking appropriate environmental requirements into account in tenders
- Predominant use of exhibition technology from the HdBG's inventory (e.g., projectors, monitors, audio headsets, etc.)
- Orientation towards the climate corridor proposed by the German Museum Association for the air conditioning of the exhibition space
- Consideration of CO2 savings opportunities when selecting loans and transporting art
"Hotspot Bavaria: Hitler and the Struggle for Democracy" is on display in the eastern half of the Donausaal hall at the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte in Regensburg. During the construction of the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte, special attention was paid to sustainability. The building complies with the passive house standard (certified).
