If a public holiday falls on a Monday, the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte is open.
Fixed closing days: December 24, 25 and 31, January 1, Good Friday.
The Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte will also be open on Monday, July 28, 2025.
The museum is a 15-minute walk from Regensburg main station.

There are three disabled parking spaces in the Ostengasse / corner of Kalmünzergasse on the south side of the museum.
Coach access is available via Adolph-Kolping-Straße from the south. Please note that the coach stops at Schwanenplatz are expected to be unavailable until December 2026. While the bus stop at Schwanenplatz is closed, passengers may board and alight (no parking) at Hunnenplatz on an exceptional basis. Tour buses are asked to avoid obstructing traffic behind them as much as possible (pull up on the right). Additionally, Hunnenplatz must be kept clear for emergency vehicles from the police, fire department, and ambulance service to cross (bollards can be lowered for emergency vehicles).
