Catwalk at Donaumarkt - Haute Couture at the House of Bavarian History
On Saturday, August 2, 2025, our house will be the meeting place for all fashion enthusiasts and fashionistas. And for the second time! Following the successful event in August 2023, we are once again inviting you to a "Night of Fashion" and a fascinating journey through the world of fabrics, cuts and visions.
This time, the designs deal in a special way with the aesthetics and time of King Ludwig I - innovative, historically reflected and surprisingly modern - in keeping with our Bavarian State Exhibition "Ludwig I - Bavaria's Greatest King?", which can be seen in the Donausaal until November 10.
Fashion shows in the open air
The deutsche meisterschule für mode designschule münchen presents up to 40 creations by its design students. Experience top-class fashion shows in the open air directly at the Donaumarkt in front of the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte.
The Donaumarkt invites you to linger and relax on Saturday, August 2 from 2 p.m.: a stylish lounge, street food snacks from InDish and a live set by DJ Adrian await you.
The fashion highlights will be presented three times at the heart of the event - at 3:30 pm, 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm- on a 20 meter long outdoor catwalk directly at the Donaumarkt. Presenter Valerie Fischer will guide you through the program.

Don't miss out on a visit to the Haus der Bayerischen Geschichte on this special day: we are open for you from 9 am to 10 pm. Admission is free!
The fashion experience will be complemented throughout the day by free guided tours of our Bavarian State Exhibition 2025 "Ludwig I - Bavaria's Greatest King?". The guided tours start at 10 am and take place every hour. The last tour starts at 8 pm.
