Zeckendorf

The war memorial for the fallen soldiers of both World Wars in Zeckendorf, today a part of Schleßlitz - is to be found in the "Gügelkirche", on a hill, about 2 km outside the village in direction of Oberlangenstadt. The memorial is to the opposite of the side entrance, through which you enter the church. To the right, there is a "Mariengrotte". Below an Iron Cross with the date 1914 1918 and the inscription: Fürs Vaterland starben(they died for their country), there is a sculpture. To the left and the right of it, the names of the fallen soldiers from Zeckendorf are commemorated, among them the following Jewish soldiers:
