The war memorial for the fallen
soldiers of both World Wars in Veitshöchheim is situated in the center of
Erwin-Vornberger-Platz, next to the church. On the commemorative stone for
the fallen soldiers of World War I, the names of the fallen soldiers are
listed, among them - under the respective years - the three Jewish soldiers: |

Inside the synagoge on
Mühlgasse 6 that was renovate a few years ago, to the right of the
Tora-shrine, you will find a commemorative plaque for the combatants of
World War I, that was reconstructed from many pieces. After the closing of
the synagogue, it must have been destroyed and the pieces were used to fill
the floor. Below the Hebrew inscription (translated): "These are the
names of the 16 men from Veitshöchheim who went to war" (between the
Jewish dates 5675-5679), you will find the following names: |
