Steinhart

On the Jewish cemetery of the Jewish congregation of Steinhart, that existed from approximately 1700 to 1910, and that is situated outside the village, near the ruin of the castle, the probably oldest sign of Jewish soldiership in Bavariy has survived.

Among the many old gravestones, the grave of SAMUEL BEROLZHEIMER s.A., veteran of the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon can be found. Below the traditional Hebrew inscription, it has the German text:
