| In Schwanfeld, there is a new
war memorial for the fallen soldiers of both World Wars next to the church
and the townhall. On a large stone between two commemorative plaques of
stone, you will find the following inscription:
GEDENKET DER OPFER DER
KRIEGE
DOCH WAHRET
FRIEDEN + FREIHEIT
(remember the victims of war but keep peace
and freedom)
Below it, the names of the fallen soldiers of
both World Wars are listed. Among them on the right plaque the Jewish
soldiers:
