In the town of Rieneck, there
is a monument commemorating the fallen soldiers of the two World Wars and at
the same time it is a memorial for the extinct Jewish community of Rieneck
s.A. and its members. On four stone plaques to the left and the right of the
monument in form of a kneeling soldier, bearing the inscription:
Die Stadt Rieneck ihren Toten der beiden
Weltkriege +
the names of the fallens soldiers of both
World Wars are listed. On the plaque to the far left, below the date +
1914 - 1918 +, the names of two Jewish-German soldiers can be found:
KÖSTRICH JOSEF
and
