In Redwitz an der Rodach, today
part of Mitwitz, the war memorial for the fallen soldiers of World War Iis
situated next to the protestant St.-Ägidius church. On the front of the
large memorial stone that has a sculpture on the top, you will find the
inscription: SIE
GINGEN FÜR’S VATERLAND IN KAMPF UND TOD
(they fought and died for their country)
below military symbols. To the right, the
names of the fallen soldiers of World War I are listed, among them the
Jewish soldier:
