The local memorial for the fallen soldiers of both World Wars in Oberelsbach is situated infront of the cemetery, next to the catholic church. In the center of the memorial site, there is a sculpture, with the following inscription:

1914 UNSEREN GEFALLENEN HELDEN 1918,

(1914 to our fallen heroes 1918)

to both sides of it, two plaques for the fallen soldiers of World War I and II. Among the names of the dead, on the left side, you will find the Jewish-German soldier:

Leo Frank 15.Februar 15

and on the right that of:

Julius Silbermann 17. Dez. 18.
