Until it was damaged in 1938 and up to its total destruction in 1945, there used to be a commemorative plaque for the eleven fallen soldiers of the congregation in the synagogue of the Jewish community of Neumarkt s.A.. It doesn't exist any longer.

On the Jewish cemetery on Gießereistraße 3, you will find two further gravestones that commemorate Jewish-Bavarian soldiers:

One gravestone points out the fact that victims of war are buried there, with the following inscription:

Hier ruht zum ewigen Frieden ein unvergeßlicher Gatte u. Vater

gefallen auf dem Felde der Ehre 11. Dez: 1916

(here lies in eternal peace an unforgotten husband and father Herr Leopold Landecker, ...who died on the fields of honour...)

On the base of the stone with the inscription "He rests in God, ...husband, our dear father, Herr Salomon Rindsberg .... the following text commemorates a victim of the war:

Dem Andenken unseres unvergeßlichen Philipp Rindsberg

On the base of the gravestone for Herr Adolf Goldschmidt, born on the 16th of march 1848 in Sülzburg, died on the 9th of march 1893 in Neumarkt, a small metal plaque commemorates his fallen son:
