Mainstockheim
Kitzingen (Unterfranken)

In Mainstockheim, there is a war memorial for the fallen soldiers of both World Wars in the center of the village, on the crossing of Hauptstraße/Mühlweg. The names of the fallen soldiers of World war I are listed below an Iron Cross and a steel helmet, on both sides of the monument. On the lower part of the front, you will find the inscription (in metal letters):

UNSEREN GEFALLENEN UND VERMISSTEN DER
GEMEINDE MAINSTOCKHEIM 1914 – 1918 1939 – 1945

(to our fallen and missing soldiers from Mainstockheim 1914-1918 1939-1945)

and below that:

DEN LEBENDEN ZUR MAHNUNG.

(as a reminder to the living)

On the front and on both sides of the monument, the names of the fallen soldiers of World War I are hardly readable, but we can identify the two Jewish soldiers:

KLEIN ISACK INF. 13.11.14
SONDER JUSTIN INF.
21.8.18
