Krumbach

In Krumbach, there is a "Kriegergedächtnisstätte" (war memorial complex), that was inaugurated on the 17th of november 1957. It is situated on the Westfriedhof, on Babenhausenerstraße. Here you will find a "memorial chapel", with the head of a soldier on one of the walls and a symbolic grave infront of it, that has the inscription:

DEN TOTEN ZUR EHRE DEN LEBENDEN ZUR MAHNUNG.

(in honour of the dead, as a reminder to the living)

To the left of the chapel, on the outer wall of the cemetery, there are five bronze plaques, with the following dedications:

Below the inscription, you will find - in chronological order - the names of the victims of war. Among the fallen soldiers of the year 1916 there are two names of Jewish-German soldiers
