| In Karlstadt, there is a war
memorial for the fallen soldiers of World War I in the right side chapel of
the "Stadtpfarrkirche St.Andreas". In the middle of the altar-like monument,
there is a figure of St.George, with the dedication:
IN LIEBE UND DANKBARKEIT IHREN HELDENSÖHNEN
DIE STADTGEMEINDE KARLSTADT 1924.
