Ingolstadt
(Oberbayern)

On the Jewish cemetery of Ingolstadt, that forms a seperate area on the "Westfriedhof", there are two memorials for the fallen soldiers of World War I.
Not far from the Tahara-house, in the first row of graves, you will find the hardly readable inscription:

DIE DANKBARE KULTUSGEMEINDE
IHREN IM WELTKRIEG 1914 – 1918
GEFALLENEN HELDEN

(the grateful congregation / dedicated to their fallen heroes of the World War)

ADOLF KUHN ERNST-   HALBERSTADT

GEWIDMET

It is not clear, if this stone has always been in this place, or if it has been removed from the synagogue.

Opposite to the Tahara-hall, there is an enclosing wall, infront of which you will find a memorial that is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of World War I as well as to the victims of the Shoa.
