In Haßfurt, the war memorial for the fallen soldiers of World War I (in form of a large coffin) is situated on a site to the south of the "Ritterkapelle". Next to the inscription: SEINEN * TAPFEREN SÖHNEN DIE * IHR LEBEN GABEN FÜR * DIE HEIMAT * IM WELTKRIEG 1914 – 1918(to its brave sons, who gave their life for their country in the World War 1914-1918), you will find (on the side facing the chapel) the names of the following fallen Jewish soldiers:

FRANK LOUIS 1916

SILBERMANN JUL 1916

(the date gives the date of death)

Between the postoffice and the station, there is a memorial site infront of a restaurant. On a lawn, a monument in form of a pyramid has been erected in memory of the combatants and fallen soldiers of the war in 1870/71. It has the inscription: Ihren im Kampf für das Vaterland gebliebenen Heldensöhnen tapferen Kriegern. Die dankbare Stadt Hassfurt. 14. August 1904(to their sons, who died in action for their county / the grateful city of Hassfurt / 14th of august 1904)
