In the hall of the Jewish congregation on Blumenstraße 31, on the right of the entrance hall, behind the entrance door, you will find a memorial in form of the Tables of Law, that lists all the members of the congregation who were killed in action. Below a star of David, the dedication:

Die im Leben von uns geliebt und im Tode von uns nicht getrennt sind

(those, we loved during our life, are not parted from us in death).

On the old cemetery, next to the municipal hall (entrance Schlehenstraße), you will find the gravestone of a veteran from the Wars of Liberation 1813-1814. On the stone that is situated to the left of the path near the wall, below the text in Hebrew, you can read the following text in German:

David Koppel Inhaber der Feldzugsdenkzeichen von 1813,14 Altsitzer aus Dietenhofen

On the new Jewish cemetery, you will find a large memorial for the fallen soldiers of World War I (At the entrance Erlangerstraße 99, to the right) Infront of the center plaque (with the following inscription in Hebrew and German):

1914 – 1918 UNSEREN GEFALLENEN SOEHNEN
ZUM EHRENDEN GEDENKEN

(1914-1918 in honour of our sons, who died in action)

there is a symbolic coffin. To both sides, below a star of David two further plaques list the names of the following fallen soldiers:

On the cemetery you will find several gravestones, that have been put up for a fallen soldier buried in that grave, or with commemorative inscriptions for a fallen soldier, who rest in foreign soil, on gravestones of family members. We found the following graves of soldiers:

Inf.Regt. 5. Komp. On the gravestone for MARIE KLEEMANN NEE UHLMANN 17.III.1864 – 30. IX. 1915you will find: GAR BALD FOLGTE DIR DER EINZIGE SPROSS WILLI KLEEMANN KW IM 13. BAYR.RES. INF. REG. BEI EINEM STURMANGRIFF VOR VERDUN BLIEB ER AM 22.III.1916 AUF DEM FELDE DER EHRE (soon the only offspring followed you: WILLI KLEEMANN KW IM 13. BAYR.RES. INF. REG. During the attack of VERDUN he fell on the fields of honour, 22nd of march 1916) On the family grave of Amalie and Heinrich Offenbacher s.A. you find an additional plaque with the following inscription: Zum Andenken an Sigmund Offenbacher geb. 21. Dezember 1887 vermisst seit den Kämpfen in der Champagne, Oktober 1915 (in memory of Sigmung Offenbacher, born on the 21st of december 1887, missing since the fights in the area of Champagne, october 1915) On the family grave of the married couple COHN s.A. the following inscription can be found: Hermann Cohn 17.2.1845 – 22.9.1926 Kriegsteilnehmer 1870–71. Hermann Cohn.... combatant 1870-71 Above the name of the fallen soldier, a metal plaque with the remarkable inscription: Gott war mit uns ihm sei die Ehre Dem siegreichen Heere (God was with us he is to be honoured as the victorious army) From the following gravestones you can deduct, how proud the patriotic Jewish citizens of Fürth were of their military rank: DR. To the left of the entrance of Heinrich-Schliemann-Gymnasium in Königstraße 105, there are two war memorials for the fallen members of that school. On the commemorative plaque for the fallen soldiers of World War I, below the sculpture of a hellenic warrior and the inscription: DEN . TAPFEREN . GEFALLENEN . DES . 1914 . FVRTHER . GYMNASIUM . 1918 (to the brave fallen soldiers of the "Fürther Gymnasium" 1914-1918) five plaques commemorate the names of the fallen soldiers. Among them we find 15 Jewish pupils: (the first number gives the date of birth, the secon the date of death)
