| The old war memorial is
situated in the center of the village, above the townhall, on the church
hill. The front of the monument shows a statue of St.George, below it the
dedication: DIE
GEMEINDE FRANKENWINHEIM IHREN HELDENSOEHNEN
(Frankenheim to its heroic
sons).
The back of the monument lists - below an
Iron Cross and the date 1914-1918 - the names of the fallen soldiers from
the village. With great effort you can decipher the name of the
Jewish-German soldier:
