Ermershausen
Haßberge (Unterfranken)
The war memorial of Ermershausen that was erected in 1945, is situated in the center of the town, next to the townhall and the church. On a commemorative plaque, the names of the fallen and missing citizens from both World wars are listed. Among the names, you will find the two Jewish fallen soldiers:

Nathan Rau 10.3.1894 * 6.8.1915

und

Max Rau 24.10.1885 * 17.9.1916.

On the Jewish cemetery, that is situated to the right of the road fom Ermreuth to Maroldsweisach, you will find a gravestone for a Bavarian-Jewish soldier, who died in 1890, most probably during his time in service. Below a meanwhile totally crumbling military symbol, on a white marble stone, you can read the following inscription:

This is the resting-place for Moritz Seidenbach.
