Das am 10. Mai 1925
eingeweihte Kriegerdenkmal von Burgbernheim für die
Gefallenen der Kriege 1914/18 (und 1939/45) befindet
sich auf dem Kapellenberg oberhalb der Kirche St.
Johannis (links der Kirche und des Friedhofes führt
ein Treppenaufgang durch eine Lindenallee zum
Kapellenberg hinauf). Auf mehreren Gedenktafeln des
fast runden Turmes sind eine Widmung und – nach
Jahreszahlen geordnet – die Namen der Opfer beider
Kriege verewigt. On several of the commemorative
plaques there is a dedication and the names and
dates of the victims of the two wars are listed.
On the plaque to the
right, next to the door, tha leads into the memorial,
you willfind the inscription:
