Bischberg
Bamberg (Oberfranken)
In Bischberg you will find a war memorial for the fallen soldiers of the two World Wars on the cemetery, next to the church. Below a sculpture you can read the text:Was die Väter im Blute gesät. Mög’ es den Enkeln in Frieden reifen. (What the fathers have sown with their blod, may ripen in peace for the the grandchildren).Below the inscription: Im Weltkrieg 1914 + 1918 sind gefallen (having died in action in the World War of 1914+18) the names of the fallen soldiers of Bischberg are listed, among them the two Jewish soldiers:

Liebermann Ludw. 5.I.R.9.K.
* 12.III.86 11.10.16 Frk.

On the base the dedication Liebe und Dankbarkeit haben dieses Denkmal errichtet am 5.November 1922 (Love and gratefulness have erected this memorial on the 5th of november 1922) can be discovered.

Only a few meters away - to the left of the back entrance of the church - there is a further memorial, only for the fallen soldiers of World War I.
