In Bechhofen, there is a war memorial for the fallen soldiers of World War I at the northern entrance to the church of St. Johannis. Above a sculpture you will find the following inscription in German letters:

Schloss. Moritz gef. 18.2.1917

At the base the dedication:

Den Opfern des Ersten Weltkrieges 1914-18 in dankbarer Treue.
