Bastheim
Rhön-Grabfeld (Unterfranken)
The war memorial for the fallen soldiers of both World Wars from Bastheim - a crucifcation with plaques below the figures and beside them - is situated to the right of the mainstreet, in direction of Oberelsbach, on "Spielberg". Whereas below the cross and the inscription: Es starben den Heldentod, the dead of 1914-1918 are commemorated -among them the Jewish-German soldier:

to the right and the left of the main figure, below the sculptures, there is a plaque of stone that lists (beneath a steel helmet) the names of all the combatants of World War I from Bastheim. In the list, you will find the Jewish citizens:
