The war memorial for the
fallen soldiers of the wars of 1870/71, 1914/18 and 1939/45
(erected 1926-1928) is located next to the townhall and the
church of St.Kilian.To the left of the memorial, there is
a monumental statue of a knight, with the inscriptions:
DEN TOTEN ZUM GEDAECHTNIS and DEN LEBENDEN ZUR
MAHNUNG (in memory of the dead / as a reminder to the
living). To the right of this statue, five commemorative
plaques have been fixed to the wall. They list (in
chronological and alphabetical order) the names and dates of
death of the fallen soldiers of the wars of 1870/71 and
1914/18.
Under the year 1917 you will find
the name of the Jewish soldier
