On the cemetery (established in
1627) of the Jewish congregation of Kriegshaber, that existed
between 1570 and 1910, which is now situated in the former
US-army residential area of Center Ville, on the corner of
Madison / Hooverstraße, among very beautiful gravestones, you
will find the resting place of the probably highest ranking
Jewish officer of the Royal Bavarian army: Carl von Obermayer
s.A. The inscriptions on
the gravestone can hardly be read anymore. |
