Under the arcades of the townhall of Amberg, below the western gable end that faces the market-square, you will find large stone plaques for the 716 fallen soldiers of Amberg. Below the inscription: 

Den . im . Welt-Krieg . 1914 - 1918 . für . ihr . Vaterland . gestorbenen . Helden . zum . dauernden . Gedächtnis . gewidmet . von der . dankbaren . Stadt . Amberg


(To the heroes who have died for their country in the World War of 1914-1918 - in lasting memory - dedicated by the grateful city of Amberg). 

The names of the people who died in the war are listed in alphabetical order. Among them you will find the name of the Jewish-German soldier

On the Jewish cemetery on Philipp-Melanchton-Straße ,a gravestone with the following inscription can be found:

geb. 9. April 1881 gest. 18. Juli 1934
